If your at least fifty years old, you probably remember one of the worst presidents in American history, The socialist trojan horse, Jimmy Carter. I had the misfortune of serving in our U.S. Navy while Carter was President.  I want to inform everyone now that I’m very pleased that I was fortunate enough to serve our Country for twenty years in the U.S. Navy.  The problem was the four years under the heel of the socialist Carter.

At one point in my Navy career while stationed onboard the USS Manitowoc (LST-1180) during Carter’s one term, we were ordered to the Mediterranean Sea for a six month deployment.  Conditions in Virginia, where the ship was homeported, were “normal.”  Gas was well below $1.00 a gallon.  Costs for most products were reasonable.  Upon our return the landscape was like landing on another planet.

On and off base automobile traffic was almost non existent. The country seemed to be in suspended animation. Other than the personnel who tied the ship to the pier, we had to look and look for even one pedestrian ambling to any extent.

I was scheduled for twenty four hour duty the next day, therefore I was allowed off the ship until the next morning. After my brother met me at the pier to drive me to Little Creek, he stopped for gas, I was startled to see that in just six months the prices had more than trippled.

I asked him why. He stated that there was an oil and gas shortage. I informed him that we had weaved through ten miles of anchored civilian oil tankers before we could enter port. These ships were not allowed to off load their oil and/or gas, creating an oil shortage. This was insane then, and it still boggles my mind that congress could get us into this insanity again.

During this period congress was controlled by the socialist democrats, as well as a democrat president. This country was not relieved of this insanity until Ronald Reagan defeated the weak Jimmy Carter in a landslide election. Freedom prevailed.

Then as now this disaster is not the fault of the free market. Instead it is the fault of uneducated voters, socialist central government politicians and bureaucrats experimenting with our freedom, or money and our children’s future.

Due to wide spread self induced ignorance of American history by a significant number of americans concerning the extreme damage that has been inflicted on this country by narcissistic liberals, the nation as a whole will be subjected to more loss of freedom and damage during the next four years. Unless conservatives pick up significant seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate, misery will prevail.

As a young lad growing up in God fearing, semi-Agrarian middle Georgia during the 40′s and 50′s where freedom abounded and love of Country, justice done, and our Constitution flowed as a spirit through the majority of the citizens, I felt secure and our central government was trustworthy.

Our schools actually taught disciplines and factuals that increased our brain’s ability to think and absorb information, as well as dissect constructive and difficult to understand facts, and other useful data required in the basic education process of young people to succeed in their dailey lives, and become useful citizens for the remainder of their lives.

Parents, the key to a childs upbringing, mostly took their responsibilities seriously;  The children grew up with a full knowledge that if they broke their parents rules corporal punishment would be administered, usually by the Father.  This indicated to the child that there are consequences for one’s actions.

Most Mothers were house wives whom stayed at home insuring their children grew up well fed while sitting at the dining room table with the entire family. Both parents insured the children were balanced mentally,  physically and spiritually.

Our Father, who was a painting contractor rose out of bed at four a.m., had to be at new home construction sites at six a.m. to assign work for the day. we rose two hours later, ate breakfast at 6:30 a.m. in the dining room. It was there that we communicated our plans for the day, prayed to our Lord Jesus Christ, thanking him for our freedom and our home, before walking eight blocks to school.

We were taught American Civics in and out of school.  We were instructed by our Father of the benefits of honest hard work.

We learned that employers hire people to help them make money, and they are compensated for their time and productive effort. That a “man’s word was his bond.” Men referred to other Men as “Sir.” Non-aggression was predominate. Although boy’s did learn to protect them selves.

Hardship was well known by everyone. But this condition actually kept us on an even keel. Pride is a self destructive emotion. There was more time spent at constructive endeavors. These were: We kids with our Mother taking walks together, water melon cutting, home made ice cream churning, listening to broadcasts on the radio together which were replays of weekly serials of the 1930′s and 40′s, my brother and me fishing for “brim” with our Dad at Jackson Lake.

The above is just a scratch of my time growing up.  It was a very sane America which I miss very much. It was a time when Men worked with their hands, and were contented after a days labor for a days pay.

May God grant us the following through his grace: peace, tranquillity, freedom, productivity and protection from evil again. And America should never forget: God blesses those who bless Israel. therefore, may we never turn our backs on Israel.

Through the years I’ve noticed that ANYTIME the Central Government “loans” or “gives” tax payer money to a Sovereign state – for any reason – that state looses It’s freedom of thought.  For example, just look at our school system: The Central Government dictates what can and cannot be taught in the public schools. By the way, this is unconstitutional, but when has that stopped democrats?

Now, the Marxist democrats – with the help of liberal, unAmerican, anti-free market republicans – are using this tactic on the following categories of private businesses: oil, automobile manufacturing and banking.  At this time the central government will have become “part owner of that company, or group of companies” (Read the definition of “Socialism“  in a dictionary printed before 1970) . Note – if a company holds it’s ground and refuses “bailout” money, it cannot be forced into this merger from hell.

Once the “socialist” becomes a “part owner” by using Tax Payer dollars, the central government can control those companies by it’s unlimited power. By the way, the “FAIR Tax” would take this power away from the central government. I repeat, the FAIR Tax will reduce the central government’s power over private citizens, so please read up on arguments FOR the fair tax and get behind this movement.

After the central government unconstitutionally takes over control of each ”Privately Owned Company,” they begin to make political decisions that are disastrous for that company. Unfortunately, power will be abused by the Liberals.

This  will ultimately end in disaster.

What can we do now? Call your Congressmen. Call your Senators. Tell them to put a stop to socialism in America. Tell them this is NOT the kind of change we want in America!

Or, it will soon be too late.
